What a connection means

A verified connection identifies the same character in two distinct works. A mention can establish a connection without implying a physical appearance. The passages show that distinction, including fiction within a story and adaptation references.

Likely links use compatible biographical details, ages or locations. They stay labelled as likely, and their underlying character records remain separate.

The paired books

Desperation and The Regulators use related names and roles in different lives. Their counterparts have a separate view and do not become ordinary shared identities.

Reading and spoilers

Character lists and connections can reveal plot details. Passages are closed by default so you can choose when to read them. A work with no recorded connection is not proven to be disconnected.

The growing library

The library includes 247 works with original publication information. It covers long and short fiction, poetry and other forms. Character entries continue to expand, and the atlas does not claim that every character or every published King work has been cataloged.

Dates retain the precision supported by their cited references. Where publication has not been established, the entry says so.

Keeping the atlas running

The King Atlas is free to use, but it is not free to run. Our Amazon links currently have no affiliate tag. We may add referral links and receive a fee for qualifying book purchases in the future to help cover hosting and upkeep.
