The "Doug" referred to is believed to be Hecksler's close friend General Douglas MacArthur. "It was Iron-Guts, all right," the Post's source claimed, adding that in addition to the lighter, searchers found a number of items amid the bone-dotted clumps of ashes in the death oven that have been positively identified as belonging to Hecksler.
